Grand Prairie Lawn Care – Efficient Sprinkler System Repair

Effective gardening requires many tools. Sprinklers are found in the top of the list of the essential tools for making gardening easy. Wastage of water can be avoided while irrigating the garden lawns properly using sprinkler systems. If you want to make sure that all parts of your lawn get the moisture content evenly, you should opt for sprinklers. Like in the case of all materials, sprinklers also get ruined owing to regular wear and tear. Here comes the usefulness of sprinkler system repair and it has to be done in periodic intervals.

The emphasis should be on repairing the worn system in an economical and practical manner. Since garden sprinklers are complicated systems, the biggest headache would be to find out the problem, once the sprinkler gets damaged. Once the problem is determined, you can simply change the faulty component and the sprinkler would start functioning normally once again.

The main parts of most sprinkler systems are a main inlet and a sprinkler head. Whether the owner is mowing the lawn or aerating the soil, there is every possibility of getting the main line spoilt. High pressure can break the sprinkler heads as well as over-exposure to heat and cold. Extensive use also takes its toll on sprinkler heads.

First of all, you have to locate the area of damage for repairing the main line. Normally, you can identify the place of line damaged seeing the puddles which are formed. Then you have to expose the pipe where it is damaged by digging deep down. It is advisable to use a pipe cutter or hacksaw to remove the ruined part. Easy repair can be done if the cut is straight and smooth. The cut-off part of the pipe can be replaced by expansion repair couplings. After that, attach them up with the ends of the existing line using high quality bonding agents.

Sometimes, you would find that the sprinkler head is broken. In such cases, you need to unscrew the head in such a manner that the riser is not taken out. In the place of the previous one, a brand new one should be installed, after removing debris, if any. This is because it is not feasible to get broken heads repaired. It may also happen sometimes that the riser gets spoiled. Like in the case of the head, you have to replace the riser also. Regular watering of your plants can be done without any hassles if your sprinkler system repair is done promptly.
